It is very difficult to prevent worm infection.

There are, however, two things that you and all responsible pet owners can prevent:

1. The damage that worms can cause to your pet’s health
2. The spread of worm eggs in the environment

You can achieve both of these aims by worming regularly. This not only kills worms before they can cause serious health problems, it also kills them before they reach maturity and start producing eggs.

Don't forget, to prevent the spread of worm eggs in the environment, always scoop your pet's poop!
